#LBWomensHealth17 Q&A

The Q&A

On Wednesday 15th March, as part of #LBWomensHealth17 we’ll be running a Q&A for lesbian, bisexual and other women who have sex with women, and for people who want to know more about the health issues that affect these communities.

Tweet us at @LGBTPartnership with your questions and we’ll pass them on to our experts below.

Our experts

Birmingham LGBT

Andréa Willinger is the Sexual Health Outreach Worker (Lesbian & Bi Women) at Birmingham LGBT. Andréa will be answering your questions from @birminghamlgbt and we’ll be directing questions to her that’re on Sexual Health and on Outreach to LBWSW communities.

Dr Caroline Walters is a Research Associate at BiUK. Caroline will be tweeting from @BiUKResearch in response to questions specifically about the health needs of bisexual women, and particularly where this intersects with mental health.

LGBT Foundation

Sølvi is a former secondary teacher who now works in netreach (web-based outreach) for the Trans Programme at LGBT Foundation, talking to trans people in informal online settings about health and wellbeing issues. As such she helps by advising on sexual and relationship health, and signposting services offered by the LGBT Foundation and other organisations.
It’s important to remember that many lesbian, bisexual and other women who have sex with women are trans women, so Sølvi will be on @LGBTfdn answering questions about sexual health and relationships that relate to trans women’s needs and experiences.

London Friend

Antidote is the LGBT Drug and Alcohol Service at London Friend, which also provides counselling and social & support groups. Rita Mcloughlin from London Friend will be available to answer questions on Mental Health and on Drugs and Alcohol on the @lgbtfriend twitter.
